Troubleshooting

Find explanations for common Yuhimo review, scheduling, offline, AI, and data issues.

Troubleshooting · Updated 2026-08-27

Troubleshooting helps you understand behavior that may look unexpected but is often caused by normal Yuhimo rules.

A page may not be due yet. A review-phase page may already have been graded today, or a learning-phase page may be waiting for its next short step. A review date can change after grading. Scoped sessions may hide otherwise due pages. Offline mode is read-only. AI does not grade answers. Export and backup are different workflows.

Start here

  • Is learning enabled for the page?
  • Is the page due today?
  • Was a review-phase page already graded today, or is a learning-phase page waiting for its next step?
  • Are you in a scoped review session?
  • Are you looking at a parent page instead of a child page?
  • Are you offline?
  • Are you expecting questions or AI to control scheduling?
  • Are you confusing export with backup?

Review and scheduling issues

  • Learning is not enabled.
  • The page is not due yet.
  • A review-phase page was already graded today, or a learning-phase page is not due for its next step yet.
  • The page is outside the selected review scope.
  • The page has different stability, difficulty, or retrievability than expected.
  • Recent grades changed the next due date.

Page structure issues

  • Parent pages and child pages are separate pages.
  • Learning state is per page.
  • Review history is per page.
  • A parent can be due while a child is not, and the reverse can also happen.
  • Adding questions does not automatically enable learning.

AI and question issues

  • AI-generated questions are drafts.
  • Generated study pages are also drafts until you save them.
  • Saving generated pages does not enable learning.
  • Edit, delete, or rewrite weak generated questions.
  • Questions are optional prompts.
  • Questions do not make a page due by themselves.
  • AI does not check or grade answers.

Offline and data issues

  • Offline mode is read-only for cached content.
  • Cached content is not a backup.
  • Backup restore adds copies instead of overwriting the workspace.
  • Export is for portability, not the same as backup.
  • Other tools may not understand Yuhimo-specific learning state.

When it is probably expected behavior

  • You cannot grade the same page twice today.
  • A page without learning enabled will not appear in review.
  • A page with questions is not automatically a learning page.
  • A page reviewed with Easy may move farther away.
  • A page reviewed early may gain less scheduling progress.
  • Offline pages may be readable but not editable.
  • Restored backups may create duplicates.

When it might be a bug

Some issues may need support if behavior contradicts the docs.

  • A due learning page is not shown even when it is in scope, eligible for its phase, and not blocked by today's review-grade or a pending learning step.
  • A page disappears unexpectedly.
  • Restore creates content that cannot be opened.
  • Export fails completely.
  • Review dates look inconsistent after refresh.
  • Cached offline content appears corrupted.

Before contacting support

  • Confirm the exact page.
  • Check whether learning is enabled.
  • Check the due date.
  • Check whether a review-phase page was already graded today, or whether a learning-phase page is waiting for its next step.
  • Check whether a scoped session is active.
  • Check whether the issue is about a parent or child page.
  • Check whether you are online.
  • Refresh or reopen the app if content looks outdated.
  • Note what action caused the issue.
