Why can’t I grade again?

New learning pages start in the learning phase with short steps between reviews. A page can be graded more than once per day when the next step becomes due.

After three cumulative Good or Easy successes, the page graduates to review. From then on, Yuhimo limits each page to one review grade per calendar day.

For pages in review, Yuhimo allows one review grade per calendar day.

Once you grade a review-phase page with Again, Hard, Good, or Easy, that grade counts for the day. Another graded review for the same page is blocked until the next calendar day.

This prevents repeated same-day review grades from creating misleading scheduling history.

The calendar day is based on your local day / timezone behavior in Yuhimo, so the limit follows your day rather than raw server time.

If a learning-phase page cannot be graded right now, it may not be due yet. Yuhimo schedules short intervals between learning steps.

• Again — about 15 minutes
• Hard — about 8 hours
• Good — about 24 hours
• Easy — about 3 days

When the interval has passed, the page can appear again — even on the same calendar day. Again resets the learning success count; Hard does not count toward graduation.

Multiple same-day review grades can distort long-term scheduling because:

• you may remember the page only because you saw it minutes ago
• repeated grades can make the page look more stable than it really is
• Easy or Good repeated on the same day could push the page too far into the future
• Again repeated too often could make the page look worse than the real long-term memory state
• FSRS-light works better with meaningful review intervals

A grade means you completed a review decision for a learning page using Again, Hard, Good, or Easy.

These actions are not necessarily a grade:

• opening a page
• reading page content
• editing page content when online
• adding or editing questions
• generating AI questions

The recorded review decision is what updates scheduling.

Grades come from self-assessment, not automatic answer checking.

Yuhimo uses your review grade to update internal scheduling state.

That state can include stability, difficulty, retrievability, due date, and review history where supported.

If the same page could be graded many times in one day, the scheduling state could become less reliable.

After grading a page, Yuhimo may show an undo option for a few seconds — usually about 10 seconds.

Undo is meant for accidental taps, not for editing older review history. Only the most recent grading action can be undone. If you grade another page, the earlier undo opportunity is no longer available.

When undo succeeds, Yuhimo restores the previous scheduling and review state for that grade — as if that rating had not been recorded. Undo is not backup restore and not a general version history system.

Undo may appear after grading in a review session, a scoped session, or from the page directly. The short window is the same idea in each case: fix a mistake immediately, not later in the day.

Once the undo window passes, the grade becomes part of the page’s review history and normal scheduling rules apply.

If you graded the wrong page or chose the wrong button, use undo immediately if it is still visible.

If undo is no longer available, you cannot submit another review-grade for that review-phase page today. Wait until the next eligible calendar day and grade honestly next time.

Do not treat undo as a way to grade the same review-phase page multiple times in one day. After the window closes, the one-grade-per-day rule still applies.

You can revisit the content without recording another grade today.

• open and read the page
• improve the note
• rewrite unclear explanations
• add examples
• edit or add questions
• split the page if it is too broad
• review related learning pages that are still eligible today

These actions can help learning without sending another scheduling signal for the same page on the same day.

A page may still be visible even when another grade cannot be recorded today.

• it remains accessible as a normal page in your workspace
• it may appear in navigation or search
• it may be part of a scoped area you are browsing
• it was already reviewed today
• the review UI may show the page but disable grading controls

Seeing the page does not mean another grade is available today.

The review-phase one-grade-per-day rule applies per page.

A parent page and child page are separate pages. Grading a parent does not grade its children. Grading a child does not grade the parent. Each learning page has its own grading eligibility.

Adding, editing, or deleting questions does not allow another grade today for the same page.

Questions help recall, but grading eligibility is controlled by review history and the daily rule.

• Is the page in review or still in the learning phase?
• If in review, did you already grade this exact page today?
• If in learning, has the next short learning step become due yet?
• Are you looking at the same page or a child/parent page?
• Did you grade it in a scoped review session or from the page directly?
• Are you expecting edited questions to reset grading?
• Are you checking based on your local calendar day?
• Are you trying to grade a normal page that does not have learning enabled?

If a review-phase page was already graded today, wait until the next calendar day to grade again. If a learning-phase page is not due yet, wait until its next learning step becomes due.

If the grade was honest, no action is needed.

If the page felt too hard, improve the page content or questions.

If the page is too broad, split it into child pages.

If the wrong page was reviewed, check parent/child structure and learning state on each page.

Can I grade the same page twice in one day?

In review, no — one grade per calendar day. During the learning phase, yes, when the next short learning step becomes due.

Why does Yuhimo block another grade?

For review-phase pages, repeated same-day grades can distort long-term scheduling. For learning-phase pages, you may need to wait until the next short step is due.

Can I still read the page?

Yes, if the page is available in your workspace. The rule blocks another review grade, not normal reading.

Does editing questions let me grade again?

No. Question edits do not reset the daily grading rule.

Does the rule apply to child pages too?

The rule applies per page. A parent page and a child page have separate grading eligibility if both are learning pages.

What if I graded by mistake?

Use undo right away if it is still shown — usually for about 10 seconds, and only for your most recent grade. Otherwise wait until the next eligible calendar day for review-phase pages. Undo is not a way to grade again later the same day.
